Remote Sales Tax Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a part-time eCommerce sales tax accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and transmit accurate sales and use tax returns to jurisdictions
• Manage state registrations and de-registrations, and reconcile client payments
• Communicate proactively with clients to address sales tax questions and concerns

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Solid grasp of technology and ability to learn new programs
• Experience with QuickBooks or knowledge of state and federal sales tax laws is a plus
• Experience with sales tax software (e.g., Avalara, TaxJar) is advantageous
