We have a current openings for Junior Estimators in Sacramento, CA. Focusing on current work in Northern, CA.

Position Description:

The Junior Estimator serves an essential function in the bidding process; they assist with cost estimates and resource requirements for electrical construction projects.

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Focus on the takeoff process for estimates/bids
  • Assist with analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, etc., to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects
  • Calculate various data quantity take-offs for data entry into computer estimating system
  • Participate in preparing and organizing bid packages
  • Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) & Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Assist with "hand off" to project management team after project is awarded

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other closely related field
    • or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience with an electrical contractor or similar
  • 1-3 years of electrical/construction estimating, project assistant/management, or construction management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities

Salary Range:

$22.00/hour - $27.00/hour

  • This is a non-exempt position
