Ruby on Rails Backend Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Ruby on Rails Backend Developer to support backend development for a Department of Veterans Affairs project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend components using Ruby on Rails, JSON controllers, Sidekiq, and RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan sprints, and deliver high-quality solutions
• Conduct backend system analysis, optimize performance, and support integration testing

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience developing in Ruby on Rails and managing backend systems
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle
• Proficiency with code versioning and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira, Confluence)
• Active or the ability to obtain a government clearance
