Seasonal Writing Tutor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Async Writing Tutor (Seasonal).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide thorough, insightful, actionable written feedback on student essays and writing assignments
• Utilize the Socratic method of tutoring to promote critical thinking and inquiry
• Meet with students synchronously via a virtual classroom as needed

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of college/university Writing Center tutoring experience
• 3.5 GPA or higher in a writing-intensive program
• Familiarity with MS Word and Google Docs
• Commitment to 15-25 hours per week during surge periods (February 1 - May 15)
• Ability to provide feedback on a diverse range of writing topics
