Job Description

Purpose of the Job

  • Organize co-engineering and industrial development to optimize product and process design for manufacturability.
  • Ensure the transferability of industrial activities using standard processes.
  • Drive industrialization resources through various phases of production.
  • Manage special processes and critical operations to ensure product safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

Tender Phase

  • Define industrial assumptions in line with product range standards.
  • Validate industrial cost quotations.

Project Execution Phase

  • Implement standard processes and product solutions.
  • Ensure manufacturability and transferability using validated technologies.
  • Follow co-engineering methodologies to optimize development lead time and quality.
  • Validate gate reviews and ensure conditions for serial production are met.
  • Ensure timely and quality documentation and ERP data.
  • Implement manufacturing equipment in compliance with EHS rules and project targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support production.

Management of Resources

  • Manage staff capacity and competencies.
  • Control workload forecasts.
  • Ensure EHS requirements are met.
  • Participate in PME Networks and contribute to standard improvements.
  • Encourage team participation in relevant networks.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Technical education.
  • Management skills.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Desired Knowledge/Experience

  • 10 years of industrial experience, preferably in the railway industry.
  • Team management skills.
  • Technical experience in process engineering, manufacturing work instructions, line balancing, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, and Configuration follow-up.
  • Knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards.

Additional Information
