Senior Backend Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Platform) to join their remote team in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain authentication and authorization systems for secure access control across services
• Develop components for the internal library used by backend developers to support service-oriented architecture
• Lead medium to large-sized projects and foster cross-team collaboration to build a healthy engineering culture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; AWS certifications are a plus
• Experience with AI-powered development tools and hands-on experience with Distributed Systems and Event-driven Architecture
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, and SQL
• Ability to work on complex technical issues and own solutions from ideation to completion
• Experience with authentication/authorization systems (OAuth, JWT, RBAC) is a plus
