Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their engineering team and develop backend services for a virtual-first cardiovascular care platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful backend services and APIs for care coordination and automation
• Collaborate with product, clinical, and operations teams to deliver valuable backend functionality in iterative cycles
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to influence system evolution

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building backend services and APIs
• Strong proficiency in a modern, statically typed language such as Rust, Go, or Kotlin
• Experience with RESTful API design and documentation using OpenAPI specifications
• Solid understanding of relational databases, distributed systems, and AWS cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools
