Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer II, Orchestration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement reliable, secure, and highly available orchestration services while refactoring legacy systems
• Work with complex systems using various programming languages and technologies, including Python, Rust, and AWS
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multiple teams, including product management and UX design

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (computer science, computer engineering, etc.)
• Extensive experience in designing micro-services and APIs (REST and/or gRPC)
• Strong knowledge of observability and debugging production issues at scale
• Experience working asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team is a plus
