Senior Director of Credit Risk

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Director, Credit Risk to lead their underwriting team and develop strategies for credit programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Scale and lead the credit organization, mentoring a high-performing team
• Oversee portfolio performance and manage diverse credit programs
• Establish and refine underwriting models and credit strategies to drive key performance indicators

Required Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of experience in credit underwriting at major banks
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, or a related field (PhD preferred)
• Proven track record in managing diverse portfolio types including co-brand and consumer credit programs
• Strong expertise in Excel, SQL, and programming/data analytics in R or Python
• Experience in capital markets and fraud management is highly preferred
