Senior Director, Software Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Director, Software Development Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, execute, and champion the global strategy and multi-year roadmap for cloud cost governance, infrastructure optimization, and capacity engineering
• Drive alignment and accountability as a key strategic partner and advisor to executive leadership in defining cloud investment priorities
• Provide executive leadership and mentorship to a global organization, ensuring the delivery of high-impact optimization solutions at scale

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years leading complex engineering organizations, with at least 5 years managing Directors or multi-disciplinary organizations
• A consistent record of building, scaling, and retaining top engineering talent for high-velocity teams
• 7+ years as a Software Engineer or hands-on technical contributor with a deep understanding of platform infrastructure
• Extensive experience (5+ years) with AWS/GCP public cloud services in a capacity/FinOps context
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
