Senior Mainframe/Java Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Mainframe/Java Developer to support their IRS client in New Carrollton, MD.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance software programs by designing, developing, testing, and debugging applications using Java 11, SQL, and JCL
• Translate business requirements into detailed program designs and specifications, and develop and deploy Java components or full JEE application functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile sprints and prepare documentation, diagrams, and technical reports as required

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• Active IRS MBI clearance and IRS-issued laptop
• Minimum of 7 years related experience in software development, with at least 1 year of direct IRS experience
• Strong experience with Java 11/JEE, JCL, and Mainframe development
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and web services
