Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Safety Methodology Engineer to develop and defend Design Basis Accident methods in the nuclear energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on modeling techniques for Design Basis Accident events
- Prepare and document analytic methodology reports, defending assumptions and approaches
- Conduct sensitivity studies using relevant codes to validate methodology performance
Required Qualifications
- B.S. (+10 years), M.S. (+7 years), or Ph.D. (+5 years) in nuclear, mechanical, or related engineering/science fields
- Experience with transient safety analysis and methodology development
- Knowledge of Licensing Basis Events and regulatory requirements
- Strong thermal hydraulic and transient system modeling skills
- Experience with code validation & verification in nuclear safety applications
