Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a financial services company specializing in retirement and reinsurance solutions for a remote contract to hire position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and microservices using modern JavaScript technologies
• Build and document REST APIs from scratch, ensuring alignment with OpenAPI specifications
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including agile ceremonies and CI/CD processes

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript technologies such as Node.js, Express, and React
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong understanding of REST API design principles and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Preferred experience with AWS deployments and containerization (Docker)
