Company Overview:

We are a 20-year-old, well-established restaurant brand with multiple locations and a loyal customer base. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking to strengthen our digital visibility with a renewed focus on search engine optimization (SEO). Our brand has evolved, but our search rankings haven’t kept pace—especially across platforms like Google Maps, Apple Maps, and organic Google search.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced, data-driven SEO Specialist who also primarily focuses on the restaurant industry and understands the intricacies of local SEO across multiple locations. This is not a general marketing role—we’re specifically looking for someone with a strong technical SEO background who can assess, fix, and manage our SEO performance on an ongoing basis.

What You’ll Do:

Audit our current website structure and SEO performance, and present a clear action plan for improvement while providing analytics.

Optimize H1 tags, metadata, image alt tags, and internal linking across all site pages (o name a few)

Manage and optimize our Google Business Profiles and Apple Maps listings for all locations

Improve our local search visibility for relevant keywords and competitive positioning

Monitor rankings, traffic, and performance metrics, and provide regular reports

Collaborate with our website manager to ensure best SEO practices are properly implemented

(Optional/Secondary) Assist with email marketing automation campaign setup and management (e.g., customer re-engagement, loyalty emails, etc.)

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in SEO for multi-location restaurant brands or food service businesses (and willing to share references of other restaurant owners)

Deep knowledge of local SEO, Google Places optimization, and map visibility strategy

Technical expertise in on-page and off-page SEO fundamentals

Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, etc.)

Ability to work independently and communicate clear strategies and progress

Bonus: Experience with email automation platforms and campaign build-outs

Contract or Ongoing Basis:

This role could be structured as a freelance contract, part-time, or ongoing consultant position depending on fit and availability. We are open to flexible working arrangements, but commitment and measurable improvement are key.
