Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assign codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency service diagnoses and procedures based on patient medical records
• Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT in compliance with official coding guidelines
• Adhere to policies and procedures set by the Health Information Management Department

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) preferred
• Basic knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, etc.)
• Coding credential from AHIMA and/or AAPC required
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
