Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to lead technical initiatives in data science and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Data Scientists and data stewards to identify data sources and streamline data flow
• Defines best practices for data product development and operational processes
• Implements standardized processes to ensure data accuracy and quality, while mentoring junior team members

Required Qualifications

• MS or PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related quantitative discipline with 6+ years of experience
• Experience with informatica tools, SAS Analytics, Python, R, SQL, and Amazon Web Services
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• End-to-end experience with data querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization
• Leadership traits with the ability to influence others without direct authority
