Staff Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Platform Engineer to lead the architecture and scaling of its platform infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Write code and build systems while taking ownership of the platform's cloud infrastructure
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and manage CI/CD pipelines for scalability and performance
• Lead incident response efforts, define disaster recovery strategies, and mentor engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering with a backend or platform focus
• Strong experience with GCP or proficiency in other major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Proven track record of driving complex technical initiatives from planning to execution
• Experience partnering with leadership to shape engineering strategy and influence decisions
