We are seeking a detail-oriented Trainee Estimator to join our team in Orlando. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project feasibility and profitability.

Essential Functions:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
•  Consult with clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and clarify technical details
•  Prepare and maintain detailed estimate documentation and support documentation
• Review vendor quotes and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
•  Identify potential cost savings opportunities and value engineering solutions
•  Monitor industry trends, labor rates, and material costs to maintain accurate pricing data
• Collaborate with project managers to track actual costs against estimates
•  Participate in project review meetings and bid preparations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or 3-5 years of experience in construction.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
• Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Thorough understanding of building codes and construction regulations
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in vendor relationship management and procurement processes
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving capabilities
