Temporary Tax Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Temporary Part-time Accounting/Tax Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sales tax nexus research and support Avalara risk assessment
• Assist with Avalara implementation tasks, including mapping product codes and reconciling tax reports
• Prepare and file sales tax returns, and support internal controls and process documentation

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Avalara AvaTax is preferred but not required
• Accounting/tax knowledge, including understanding of general ledger and tax accruals
• Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience organizing documents in SharePoint
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures
