Pay / Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $84,849 – $127,274 annually (based on experience)

Job Description

As the Nurse Manager of the Mother-Baby Unit, you will provide leadership and oversight for a dynamic nursing team. You'll ensure the highest standards of patient care, manage day-to-day unit operations, and collaborate across departments to support positive patient and team outcomes.

Position Highlights:

  • Leadership: Direct the daily operations of the Mother-Baby Unit with support from 4 Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs) and relief charge nurses

  • Patient Care: Promote exceptional postpartum and newborn nursery care, ensuring a safe, patient- and family-centered experience

  • Team Collaboration: Foster multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practices

  • Operations: Oversee staffing, budgeting, scheduling, payroll, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and compliance

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2–5 years of recent acute care leadership experience in a Mother-Baby unit

    • Prior supervisory experience preferred

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required)

    • Advanced degree (preferred)

  • Licensure/Certifications:

    • Active Texas RN license or compact RN license

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required
