Tier 2 SOC Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SOC 2 Analyst to support a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center by monitoring security tools and assessing threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage cybersecurity events in collaboration with SOC team members
• Analyze security threats for managed services customer networks and provide guidance on incident handling
• Document security incidents and develop procedures as part of the SOC run book

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a technical or engineering discipline
• Three years of experience in cybersecurity and/or IT security
• Two years of experience in a SOC environment with security engineering and monitoring
• Knowledge of security incident and event management, log analysis, and network traffic analysis
• Moderate knowledge of networking fundamentals and security-related technologies
