As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’re one of the most important team members at Norm Reeves Toyota of San Diego.

You’ll provide an exceptional dealership experience by leading an organized billing payment process, and driving prompt communication from the business office to the many accounts we depend on to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Your work will ensure guests leave 100% satisfied with their Norm Reeves Toyota experience by being efficient, organized and completing your work on time. This role is a great way for a detail-oriented and self-motivated person with prior accounting experience to launch your career with us!

What You’ll Do:
• Check all vouchers and obtain appropriate payment approval
• Prepare accounts payable checks
• Code and post to accounting all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis
• Print all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
• Reconcile statements and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
• Communicate cash requirements for payable dates to the office manager
• Audit freight bills against freight inquiries
• Analyze vendor accounts
• Answer all vendor inquiries timely
• Reconcile bank balances on a daily basis
• Assist in monthly closings
• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required
• Reconcile and prepare Service & Parts deposit daily
• Prepare and send A/R statements monthly
• Apply payment and create deposits for accounts receivable vendors
• Maintain reconciled accounts receivable files

What You’ll Need:
• Ability to work under pressure in order to maintain payment accuracy and meet accounting deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and familiar with Microsoft Word
• Proficient in use of PC, 10 key, and typing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and relentless follow up
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, independently and with a team
• A professional appearance and work ethic
