What you’ll do 

  • Work on projects that impact the business and contribute to Transcarent’s mission of better health and care 
  • You'll gain exposure to how a real engineering team works, from sprint planning to shipping code 
  • You’ll be exposed to experienced engineers from all backgrounds (web development, mobile, API, Salesforce, etc.) 
  • You'll have a formal mentor on your team guiding you throughout your internship period 

What we’re looking for 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus. 
  • Understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 

Nice to have 

  • Experience with tools like Airflow, dbt, Spark, or Snowflake. 
  • Coursework or project work involving data pipelines or ETL/ELT processes. 
  • Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows. 

Total Rewards & Location 

  • Compensation for this position is set at $31/hour.
  • This person will need to work hybrid from our Seattle, WA office three days per week.
  • Our internship program runs June 9th-August 15th, 2025.

Total Rewards 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.  

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location  

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
