Job Summary
A company is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team with various tasks related to loan processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare files for Underwriter review, including indexing and resubmitting new loans
- Assist the Underwriting department with clerical tasks, such as ordering supporting documentation and managing fraud alerts
- Generate necessary reports and handle adverse action requests
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in the mortgage industry
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs
- Demonstrated teamwork and positive interpersonal skills
