Utility Substation SME

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) - IEEE Specifications for Utility Substation Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the internal authority on IEEE standards and develop company-specific specifications
• Provide expert guidance during the design of substations and review design documents for compliance
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment failures and oversee quality assurance on construction projects

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in utility substation engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required); Master's degree (preferred)
• Expertise in applying IEEE standards to substation equipment and design
• Proficiency with electrical analysis/design tools such as ETAP and ASPEN
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is highly desirable
