A company is looking for a Claims Consultant - Veterans Disability Appeals.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and summarize veteran claims files, analyzing medical evidence and identifying legal errors
- Assist claimants with drafting statements and medical opinion requests, and select appropriate medical documentation
- Mentor peers and support staff while maintaining confidentiality and processing claims accurately
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum one to two years of claims handling experience or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and high level of initiative
- Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to learn and apply technical instructions
