Job Summary

A company is looking for a Writer/Editor to create and manage engaging content related to wild birds and conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write scientifically accurate content for the Bird Library and other related materials
• Manage the Bird Library project, including content maintenance and editorial calendar oversight
• Support the Communications & Marketing team with writing, editing, and proofreading across various digital platforms

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in Journalism, English, or a related field, with a focus on ornithology or environmental studies preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in content development, particularly in environmental or policy organizations
• Knowledge of bird biology and related resources is essential
• Familiarity with AP style and experience in omnichannel communications is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, WordPress, Google Docs, and project management tools like Trello and Slack
