Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make calls to patients, hospitals, and insurers to research claims and obtain information
• Contact insurance carriers regarding the status of past due accounts and work on denials and appeals
• Document account activity and follow up on self-pay accounts and unpaid claims

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of claims, billing, and collection experience
• Customer service experience is required
• Prior collections or medical billing experience preferred
• Basic understanding of ICD10, HCPCS, and medical terminology is preferred
