Art Handling Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Art Handling Supervisor to oversee the safe handling and relocation of art and artifacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of employees and artifacts during movement and conditioning processes
• Manage the relocation and alteration of storage items and assist clients with inventory inquiries
• Schedule staff for projects and estimate warehouse storage tasks including packing and cataloging

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience in Art Collections Management or a Bachelor's degree in art/design
• 1+ years of supervisory experience in a related field
• Knowledge of archival materials and museum specifications for packing objects
• Experience with rigging equipment and a working knowledge of industry systems like TMS or AIMS
• Demonstrated team leadership ability
