Bankruptcy Ledger Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bankruptcy Ledger Specialist responsible for managing ledgers throughout the bankruptcy process for residential mortgage loans.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and complete bankruptcy ledgers with high accuracy, including various bankruptcy processes
• Verify and research borrower payment history, resolving discrepancies and updating records
• Respond to inquiries from bankruptcy attorneys and internal departments regarding mortgage accounts in bankruptcy

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required; bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Three to five (3-5) years of bankruptcy experience in banking, finance, or mortgage industry
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience balancing ledgers required
