California Licensed Corporate Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Corporate Counsel to support labor and employment and litigation functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on employment law issues, focusing on California laws and supporting EMEA and APAC regions
• Identify and manage compliance and legal risks by reviewing and revising internal policies and procedures
• Support HR in developing training for staff and provide legal representation regarding employment litigation and investigations

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required
• Member in good standing of CA State Bar or another state with California wage and hour experience
• 4-7 years of experience, ideally a mix of in-house and law firm experience
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and independent contractor classification
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage significant responsibilities
