California Licensed Medical Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Billing and Coding Coordinator to support a remote healthcare project.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit medical records for compliance with Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment standards and assign appropriate codes
• Train staff on coding processes and perform quality assurance audits on coding
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance in coding practices

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience, or an AA with 2+ years of experience
• CPC, CCS, or RHIT Certification required
• Experience coding physician, inpatient, and/or outpatient medical records
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Mathematical skills for basic calculations in various units of measure
