CCS Certified Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IP Facility Coder III - CCS.

Key Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ED, Home Health, Hospice, and professional fee services
• Review medical records to assign appropriate codes for financial reimbursement and compliance with regulations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certification in CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or RHIT/RHIA required at time of hire
• Three to five years of coding experience required
• Proficiency in ICD-9/10 CM and CPT-4 coding systems
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge in multiple areas of service or specific specialties
