CCS Certified DRG Review Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Manager, DRG Review (REMOTE).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of DRG Reviewers, guiding them on coding best practices and workflow management
• Review inpatient claims to validate coding accuracy and identify reimbursement opportunities
• Ensure departmental productivity and quality standards are met through monitoring and coaching

Requirements & Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in health information management or related field required; RHIT or RHIA preferred
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required
• 4-6 years of experience in DRG validation or inpatient medical coding, with 1-2 years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines and hospital billing processes
• Proficient in EMRs, DRG grouping software, and MS Office applications
