Certified Clinical Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Coding and Documentation Specialist (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate documentation of clinical conditions
• Oversee the development and implementation of documentation and coding standards to ensure compliance and appropriate reimbursement
• Design and deliver training programs for clinicians on proper documentation practices and coding changes

Required Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification
• 3+ years of experience in medical coding and documentation, with prior audit experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and Business Intelligence tools
• Experience in a startup or high-growth healthcare environment
