Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder IV.

Key Responsibilities

• Code various types of cases using ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
• Coordinate coding meetings and monitor the review of patient records
• Assist in training new coding staff and ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Five years of acute care inpatient and/or outpatient hospital coding experience
• Ability to pass a coding exam before hiring
• Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC; dual credentials preferred
• Proficiency in coding various patient medical records and understanding of coding reports
