Certified Inpatient Facility Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Facility Coder (Full-Time, Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding for hospital services
• Utilize EMR and encoder systems, preferably EPIC and Optum CAC
• Complete coding assessments and maintain compliance with coding standards

Required Qualifications

• Certification: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS (AHIMA) required
• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient facility coding experience in a hospital setting
• Preferred experience with trauma centers (Level I or II) or teaching hospitals
• Technical proficiency in EMR and encoder systems
• Must pass a pre-employment coding exam with 85% or higher
