Job Summary
A company is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Patient Engagement Center focused on prescription refills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect medical histories, monitor vital signs, and assist with patient care and procedures
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and handling billing
- Provide telephonic assistance for patient needs, including prescription refills and care coordination
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred; high school or GED graduation is required
- Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA is required
- BLS certification is required
- Experience varies by level: no experience for Level I, 1 year for Level II, and 3 years for Level III in a clinical setting
- Must meet all requirements set forth in the Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA/RMA) Ladder Program for Levels II and III
