Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Specialist (Radiation Oncology, OBS, Pathology, I&I).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various outpatient specialties
• Recognize critical care cases and code surgical procedures in an ER setting
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain accuracy in code assignment

Required Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Familiarity with EMR and billing systems is necessary
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
