Cloud Linux IT Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IT Subject Matter Specialist (Cloud Linux) to support the design, deployment, and management of Linux-based systems in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for Linux systems deployed in cloud and hybrid environments
• Design, configure, and maintain Linux servers, clusters, and virtualized environments in support of operations
• Lead cloud migrations of Linux workloads, ensuring security, compliance, and minimal downtime

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree preferred but not required
• Minimum 7-10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in Linux systems engineering/administration
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in enterprise or government environments
• Strong background in system security, compliance, and federal IT standards
