Cobol Application Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cobol Application Developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Long Term Care policy administration system by monitoring, resolving failures, and maintaining system interactions
• Analyze user incidents to propose solutions and assist in business activities
• Design, code, document, and test solutions, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria and fit within the technical architecture

Required Qualifications

• 4-year college degree and relevant experience with mainframe programming (COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS)
• Experience in production support, preferably in insurance or finance domains
• Basic experience with SQL and data analysis
• Experience in a cross-functional team environment on complex mainframe systems
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies
