Data Center Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer II to join their team remotely in the Seattle, WA area or a similar time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create layouts of data center infrastructure, including facilities structure, cabinets, and networking equipment
• Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure scalability and efficiency of the data center environment
• Monitor and optimize performance of data center infrastructure components to meet service level agreements (SLAs)

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data center architecture and design requirements for network, compute, and storage racks
• Proven experience in a colocation or telecommunications facilities engineer role in a large-scale data center
• Solid understanding of physical design standards and IT security best practices in data centers
• Strong understanding of public cloud infrastructure and cloud-native applications
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for designing data center layouts
