Data Scientist, Load Forecasting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist, Load Forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain statistical and machine learning models for time-series electric load forecasting
• Analyze drivers of electric load, including weather patterns and economic indicators
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytical solutions into business processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or an applicable graduate degree or two years of relevant experience
• Experience writing, debugging, and modifying computer code to solve problems
• Basic understanding of SQL, tabular data structures, and matrix algebra
• Proficiency in at least one major coding language or statistical analysis platform
• Experience in the retail electricity sector is strongly preferred
