Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Engineering in Information Technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the strategic vision for enterprise data pipelines and platform architecture
• Oversee the design and optimization of hybrid data architectures and ensure compliance with data governance policies
• Build, manage, and mentor high-performing teams in data engineering, architecture, and platform operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in data engineering and architecture roles, with at least five years in a leadership capacity
• Extensive experience in designing and managing complex data pipelines and distributed data systems
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Amazon Redshift
• Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid architectures
