Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs in analyzing clinical data and evaluating health informatics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and manages information to support strategic decision-making
• Performs complex analyses and communicates findings to business owners and senior leaders
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop data visualizations with meaningful insights

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a quantitative field with 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience using statistical methods for measurement of clinical outcomes
• Experience with causal inference in observational data and quasi-experimental settings
• Experience in Statistics and Machine Learning, Data Mining, Forecasting, Simulation, and/or Predictive Modeling, preferably in healthcare
• Programming skills in Python and/or R focused on data analysis, data science, or machine learning
