Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Coordinator to manage financial processes related to patient care in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and ensure timely and accurate prior financial authorizations for patient admissions and procedures
  • Verify insurance coverage and evaluate benefits for outpatient procedures and hospitalizations
  • Meet with patients and families to discuss insurance benefits and assist with application processes for additional coverage
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency with Windows-based office software and computers
  • Familiarity with computer applications related to patient accounts processing
