Job Summary
A company is looking for a Financial Coordinator, Heart Failure- Cardiac Surgery, Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource for patients regarding insurance coverage and financial matters related to heart failure and cardiac surgery
- Coordinate post-heart failure discharges, including transportation, food assistance, and medication/insurance optimization
- Act as a liaison with insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations and ensure proper billing documentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in business or healthcare field preferred
- Extensive knowledge of insurance standards and regulations required
- Managed care experience and familiarity with third-party payor processes
- Experience with specialized documentation requirements for heart failure/LVAD coverage
