Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Medical Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of medical coding operations across multiple specialties
• Develop and implement coding policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Manage daily operations of the coding department and resolve coding-related denials to optimize reimbursement

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent coding certification required
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in medical coding, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and regulatory compliance
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and coding software
