Job Summary

A company is looking for a Professional Fee Abstractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely abstraction of charges for all applicable patient encounters
• Report abstracted charges via EPIC EHR and other approved methods
• Maintain knowledge of coding principles and communicate with physicians regarding documentation guidelines

Required Qualifications

• CPC-A, CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT certification required
• Preferred knowledge in Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology
• Maintain yearly certification in relevant coding
• Knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
• Participation in ongoing training and education related to medical specialties
