Freelance Senior Linguist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Freelance Senior Linguist specializing in Marketing and Life Sciences for the Oromo language.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate and copy edit content in specified subject matter areas such as Investigator facing, Patient facing, and Pharmacy material
• Utilize various CAT tools and MS Office applications to enhance translation quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with a team of freelance language experts on multiple accounts and programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in translation and copy editing in relevant subject areas
• Professional level understanding of English (US/GB)
• Native level expertise in Oromo with a strong understanding of cultural nuances
• Familiarity with CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling
• Desirable: Translation degree or equivalent experience (3 years with a degree or 5 years without)
